SPA TURBO Forged piston set 81,5mm 1.8L 20V VW/AUDI + 252 / 260 High Performance Camshaft set

For VW/AUDI 1.8 20V engines

Nominal bore diameter: 81,5mm (increase engine displacement to 1802cc)

Recommended bore to piston to bore clearance: 0.08mm (For nitrous or extreme applications, consult your builder)

Piston ring grooves: 1.5 mm / 1.5 mm / 2.0mm

Compression height: 32.70mm.

Dish volume: 7cc

Compression ratio: 8.5:1

Pin offset: 1.10mm.

Material: Forged aluminum 4032 T6.

Average piston weight (unit, without pin): 325,7g (11.4 oz).

Rated for 1000hp.

Innovative high performance piston skirt design that provides:

1. Smaller piston to bore clearance 

2. Less noise

3. Better ring seal

4. Higher power

Features:

Anti detonation grooves: protect the top ring by disrupting detonation waves and reduce piston-cylinder contact in high temperatures and engine RPM conditions.

Accumulator groove: accumulates residual combustion gasses reducing top ring flutter and improving seal.

Pin oil lubrication by broaches and oiler to reduce friction and increase durability.

Specifications:

1º ring 1.5mm – Made from carbon steel, which is 35% stronger than cast iron and about 30% lighter. DLC treated, which is the application of carbon particles, that provides higher resistance and lower friction.

2° ring 1.5mm – Made from cast iron.

3º ring 2.0mm – Made by 3 parts, providing easy handling, better oil film stability and improvement in oil removal by the lubrication holes due to its optimized design.
